A painted wooden canvasback drake duck decoy by Roy Conklin of Alexandria Bay, New York, dated 1930, retaining its bold black, cream, and reddish-brown paint scheme with finely detailed feather decoration across the back and wings. The underside is marked “Roy Conklin’s Father,” “Roy Conklin’s Canvasback,” “1920,” and “69,” with an additional paper label reading “#69 Canvasback Drake 1920 Roy Conklin Alex Bay, N.Y.” The decoy features glass eyes, a carved extended bill, leather rigging strap, and underside weight plates, with visible age wear, paint loss, surface cracking, and old repairs consistent with field use and age. A characterful sporting collectible with strong folk-art appeal and notable maker attribution. Approx. dimensions (in): 8.25 x 16.5 x 6.5.
