The exterior has a warm tan salt glaze with pronounced orange-peel texture, scattered firing specks, incised shoulder lines, and ribbed detailing to the handle and neck. The underside shows a dark kiln-fired base with visible wheel-cut marks. The jug displays expected age-related wear, glaze imperfections, firing flaws, surface staining, and scattered marks consistent with early utilitarian stoneware, while retaining strong form and attractive decorative appeal.
