Collection of 20 British and French military autographs spanning the 19th century through World War II, including Field Marshals Frederick Roberts, Douglas Haig, Edmund Allenby, John French, Bernard Montgomery, Archibald Wavell, Alan Brooke, William Slim and Garnet Wolseley, together with French commanders Ferdinand Foch, Philippe Pétain, Alphonse Juin, Henri Giraud and others. The assortment includes signed letters, cards and photographs, a 1901 War Office letter by Roberts concerning the Shropshire Light Infantry’s service in South Africa, and an 1821 free-frank address panel from the Duke of York and Albany.
