The front shield is marked “CAPTAIN” and “FFD” with crossed fire axes, while additional red-and-gold fire department emblems decorate the sides and “CAPT” is painted on the rear brim. The interior retains its stitched leather suspension and Cairns & Brother Inc. manufacturer’s label, and the eye-shield mechanism bears patent markings.
