The underside of the base is handwritten “Yellowlegs,” and the lower tail area appears to bear an artist signature. Surface shows intentional carved feather detail, visible wood grain, scattered paint wear, age splits, and natural checking to the driftwood base, all consistent with decorative folk-art carving and display.
