“Rearing Horse” by American artist Charles Burdick (1924–2016), a dynamic ink and wash drawing depicting a group of horses in expressive motion. The composition centers on a powerful rearing horse, surrounded by additional equine forms rendered in Burdick’s loose, energetic linework and tonal gray washes. Signed “Burdick” at the lower right, the work is presented under glass with a wide mat and gilt faux-bamboo style frame. The reverse retains older backing paper with visible age, tears, and wear, while the artwork presents attractively from the front. A striking equestrian work with strong movement and decorative presence, well suited for collectors of American works on paper, horse subjects, and expressive modern drawings. Approx. frame size (in): 26.5 x 23.25 x 1.5, Approx. painting size (in): 17.25 x 15.25.
