“Máscara” (“Mask”) by Mexican social realist painter David Alfaro Siqueiros, created in 1969 as part of the Mountain Suite. This signed and numbered lithograph is marked 87/250 in pencil at the lower left and signed by Siqueiros at the lower right. The image features a bold abstract mask-like profile rendered in expressive layered strokes of deep brown, black, blue, and rust, reflecting Siqueiros’ powerful modernist approach and interest in monumental form. Presented under glass with a wide mat and slim metallic frame, the work has a hanging wire attached verso. A strong and collectible example from one of Mexico’s most important 20th-century artists. Condition appears good overall, with light age toning, minor mat and frame wear, and glass reflections visible in the photographs.
