Framed historical display featuring an 1880s portrait print of American statesman Henry Clay (1777–1852), engraved by Thomas Johnson from a daguerreotype by M. P. Simons, paired with an antique handwritten letter bearing a “H. Clay” signature. The engraving and letter are presented beneath glass with dark blue matting in an ornate gilt-tone frame. An American Heritage Engraving informational label is affixed to the reverse. The letter shows age-related toning, fading, creases, stains, and wear, while the frame and backing exhibit scattered surface wear consistent with age. Approx. frame size (in): 20.75 x 11 x 0.75.
