Antique carved and painted wood ecclesiastical figure depicting a bishop saint, likely St. Nicholas or another mitred church figure, shown standing in flowing robes with a gilt-lined red cloak, mitre, beard, and separate gilt crozier staff. The figure is finely modeled with expressive facial features, layered garments, and original polychrome and gilt decoration, mounted on an architectural wall bracket base with painted faux-marble paneling. The reverse retains an old dealer label reading “Karl Storr München am Dom,” indicating a Munich ecclesiastical or antique dealer provenance. The piece shows age-appropriate wear, paint loss, surface cracking, scattered losses, old repairs, and later hanging hardware, including wear to the hands and staff attachment, all consistent with an antique devotional carving. A striking European religious decorative object with strong color, gilt detail, and historic character. Both hand's figure has chip. Approx. dimensions (in): 17 x 6.5 x 3.5.
