Lot of five framed historic newspaper displays comprising The New York Times and Meriden Journal reports of President John F. Kennedy’s assassination, The Record coverage of Lyndon B. Johnson assuming office, a 1960 Long Beach Independent announcing Kennedy’s presidential nomination accompanied by a “Kennedy for President” campaign placard, and an August 15, 1945 New York Times front page announcing Japan’s surrender and the end of World War II. Each is presented under glass in a black frame, with visible toning, creases, tears, and edge wear to the newspapers. Approx. frame size (in): 32.5 x 22.75 x 1(biggest frame).
