Contents feature presidential campaigns and election coverage involving William Henry Harrison, James K. Polk, Zachary Taylor, James Buchanan, and their running mates, along with political commentary, advertisements, local news, and Civil War reporting. The papers exhibit folds, toning, staining, tears, edge losses, and other age-related deterioration.
