A finely decorated pair of Chinese famille rose porcelain plates, each featuring a central iron-red dragon medallion surrounded by delicately painted butterflies and floral motifs. The cavetto is encircled by a richly detailed border of scrolling foliage, blossoms, and shaped cartouches containing fruit and auspicious designs, all executed in vibrant polychrome enamels. The reverse sides display elegant floral sprays along the rim, characteristic of refined export wares. Likely dating to the Qing dynasty, these plates exemplify the intricate craftsmanship and symbolic imagery associated with traditional Chinese porcelain, with the dragon representing power and good fortune.
