Signed Reuben Ward Binks (1880–1950) and dated “36” at lower right, the work captures the dog’s alert expression, strong stance, and detailed coat with naturalistic handling and a subdued outdoor palette. Presented under glass with a layered mat in a decorative gold-tone frame. A label on the reverse records that it was purchased from the Dodge Estate in Madison, New Jersey, on October 7, 1975.
