This is an original U.S. Model 1905 bayonet with scabbard, featuring the classic long spear-point blade, black ribbed grips, steel guard, bird’s-head pommel, and latch assembly. The ricasso is marked “U.S.” with the flaming bomb ordnance mark and “U.C.” for Utica Cutlery, indicating U.S. military production. The bayonet is accompanied by its metal-mounted scabbard, which also displays the U.S. ordnance flaming bomb insignia on the throat and an olive drab body with visible age wear. Overall condition shows expected oxidation, patina, scratches, finish loss, and handling wear, while the blade, grips, guard, pommel, and scabbard remain intact and display well. A desirable U.S. military bayonet suitable for collectors of American militaria, Springfield rifle accessories, and WWI/WWII-era edged weapons. Approx. length (in): 14.5.
