Original WWII-era German steel combat helmet retaining an olive green painted finish with visible age, surface wear, paint loss, scratches, and oxidation throughout. The helmet features a rolled rim, side vent holes, split-pin liner rivets, and a leather liner with drawstring; the liner shows staining, wear, and an inked “55” size marking. Exterior displays a national shield decal on one side and a Heer-style eagle decal on the opposite side, both showing losses and wear consistent with age. Interior and exterior surfaces exhibit honest patina, scuffs, and areas of rust, with no chinstrap present.  Approx. dimensions (in): 6.25 x 11 x 9.
