A late 19th-century French mantel clock housed in a substantial architectural black slate case with stepped base and molded cornice. The white enamel dial is marked “Sennet Frères, Paris-Chine” and features black Roman numerals, pierced hands, twin winding apertures, and a hinged brass-framed glass door. The brass movement is stamped “L.P. Japy & Cie,” “Hors Concours 1878,” and “Made in France,” with a coiled gong mounted at the rear. Includes a winding key. The clock exhibits surface wear, oxidation, scattered abrasions, and visible cracking to the enamel dial; mechanical operation has not been tested. Approx. dimensions (in): 11.75 x 9.25 x 5.75.
