Andrew Jackson archive centered on a signed presidential order dated October 11, 1836, authorizing the Secretary of State to affix the United States seal to an order remitting a penalty incurred by William Marcum and Ganet B. Reed in bail for Jonah Reed. The collection also includes a clipped John C. Calhoun signature as Secretary of War, an Andrew Jackson and John C. Calhoun Democratic electoral ticket, an 1832 Hagerstown Mail Jackson Republican nomination clipping, an additional period newspaper clipping, and a Signature House certificate describing the Jackson document. Approx. size (in): 10 x 8.
