Offered here is a classic antique South Bend gold filled pocket watch, featuring the desirable “Panama” grade movement with 21 jewels and adjustment to temperature and positions. The watch has a clean, easy-to-read white dial with bold Arabic numerals and a subsidiary seconds dial at the 6 o’clock position, signed “South Bend.” The gold-filled case shows a warm patina consistent with age, along with an engraved cartouche on the reverse, adding to its vintage character. Inside, the movement is beautifully finished with damaskeening and is marked “South Bend Watch Co., U.S.A.,” along with “21 Jewels” and “Adjusted to Temp & Positions,” indicating a higher-grade, precision timepiece of its era. The inner case back is stamped “Guaranteed South Bend 20 Years” and “Panama,” along with a serial number.
