Antique wooden Willimantic thread cabinet featuring four full-width drawers with bold gold-and-black advertising lettering reading “Willimantic,” “Six Cord,” “Soft Finish,” and “Spool Cotton.” Each drawer is fitted with two round wooden pulls, and the cabinet rests on an integrated raised base with an open lower storage shelf. The paneled back retains a period Willimantic label advertising “The Best Thread for Sewing Machines.” Decorative molding, paneled construction, and the original timeworn advertising graphics give the piece excellent early mercantile character.
