This impressive Buddy “L” Line fire ladder truck is a large pressed steel toy built by Moline Pressed Steel Co. of East Moline, Illinois. Finished in bright red with gilt and black detailing, the truck features an extending-style ladder assembly, brass-tone railings, bell, hose reels with cord, side steps, steering wheel, painted wheels with silver tires, and original-style Buddy “L” graphics including the maker’s label and cab emblems. The piece presents beautifully with strong display presence and excellent visual detail throughout. It shows age-appropriate surface wear, paint touch-up/restoration, light scratches, and minor bends or imperfections consistent with handling and display, but remains an attractive and highly collectible example of early American pressed steel toy firefighting apparatus. Approx. dimensions (in): 10 x 24.5 x 8.5.
