A charming 19th-century style watercolor seascape titled “Off Erith” and attributed on the mat to David Cox (29 April 1783 – 7 June 1859), depicting small boats and sailing vessels on choppy waters beneath a dramatic cloud-filled sky. The work is signed lower left and presented under glass in a gilt frame with layered matting. The reverse bears an old London framer/dealer label for John A. Cooling, Dealer in Works of Art, 92 New Bond Street, London, adding period interest and provenance appeal. The piece shows age-related wear including toning, minor spotting, frame wear, and backing wear, but retains an attractive coastal composition with soft atmospheric color and strong decorative presence. Approx. frame size (in): 16.5 x 20.25 x 1, Approx. painting size (in): 9.75 x 13.5.
