A substantial Indian devotional sculpture depicting the Hindu goddess Durga seated side-saddle on a tiger, shown with multiple arms holding symbolic weapons and attributes including a trident, sword, conch, mace, and bow. The figure is richly detailed with ornate jewelry, patterned garments, a high crown, and a decorative arched prabhavali surround with scrolling relief work. The tiger mount stands on a stepped rectangular lotus-decorated plinth, with chased and incised surface details throughout. The underside is hollow-cast, showing age-related oxidation, patina, surface wear, and casting irregularities consistent with traditional hand-finished metalwork. An impressive decorative and devotional piece with strong presence, suitable for collectors of South Asian religious art and temple-style brass sculpture. Approx. dimensions (in): 14.75 x 9 x 4.5.
