A framed Japanese ukiyo-e woodblock print by Utagawa Hiroshige, titled Fujikawa: A Village in the Mountains Formerly Called Miyajiyama, dated 1855. The scene comes from Hiroshige’s celebrated series of views along the Tōkaidō road and depicts a snow-covered mountain village beneath a dark, wintry sky, with clustered thatched houses, travelers on the road, and a river or inlet at left. The composition includes Hiroshige’s signature, Japanese title cartouches, and seal marks, and is presented matted in a wooden frame. The reverse bears an older handwritten attribution identifying Hiroshige and referencing the Fifty-three Stations. A visually atmospheric 19th-century Japanese print subject, offered as framed, with visible toning, fading, mat burn, handling wear, and age-related condition issues consistent with display and age. Approx. frame size (in): 20.5 x 15 x 0.5, Approx. painting size (in): 13.75 x 9.
