A Japanese ukiyo-e woodblock print by Utagawa Hiroshige titled “Sone no Yoshitada,” Poet No. 46 from the series Ogura Nazorae Hyakunin Isshu (Ogura Imitations of the One Hundred Poets). The scene depicts the young beauty Usuyuki-hime wearing a patterned white cloak, wide black hat, and walking stick, accompanied by a ferryman in a boat. The image references the kabuki play Shin Usuyuki Monogatari and combines literary allusion, theatrical subject matter, and refined Edo-period-style figural design. Presented matted and framed, the print shows visible age toning, fading, and wear consistent with age, including discoloration to the paper and mat. A desirable Japanese woodblock print subject for collectors of Hiroshige, ukiyo-e, kabuki imagery, and works from the Ogura Nazorae Hyakunin Isshu series. Approx. frame size (in): 20.5 x 15 x 0.5, Approx. painting size (in): 13.25 x 8.75.
